Mentees

Are you or your son or daughter between the ages of 8 and 17 and enjoy working on fun projects? If so, the I Choose Me mentoring program could be for you! Mentees are part of a mentoring group, which meets once a week and usually has 2 mentors and about 6 mentees. Mentoring groups work on projects and service activities such as:

• Gardening
• Music
• Rainwater and stormwater harvesting
• Skateboard design
• Arts and crafts
• Community cleanups
• Playground and park improvements

Mentors are always willing to help mentees work on the projects and love to listen to mentees about what is going on in their lives. Mentees who stay active in the program can earn things like gift cards or day trips.
We also have opportunities for groups to set up and run their own mentoring program with training and other supports from The METRO Center, so if your church, club, or organization has a group of youth with whom you’d like to work, let us know, and we can see how we can partner.

If you would like to be a part of the I Choose Me program, contact us today!
