How to Help
There are many ways to assist The METRO Center in making a difference in the lives of young people and families in Tucson:
• Become a mentor. Invest in the lives of young people by helping them develop life skills while working on fun projects in the community. With free training and ongoing support, we make sure you have what you need to make a difference!
• Volunteer as a tutor or at community service and special events. If you would like to share your academic skills or passion service, this is the place for you. We have openings during afterschool hours every day for tutors and community service partners. This volunteer option is also good if the regular commitment of a mentoring relationship does not work in your schedule.
• Connect young people with jobs. If you own or work for a business in Tucson interested in hiring young people, we want to work with you! We want to know what skills you want young people to have, and we welcome your participation in career fairs, mock interviews, etc.
• Donate. The METRO Center is not only a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it is an Arizona Certified Charitable Organization, meaning taxpayers in Arizona can receive a tax credit for donations of up to $200 per year ($400 for married couples filing jointly). You can mail a check to:
